Discover More About Turkey
South-west Turkey’s Turquoise Coast in Antalya is blessed with over 600 kilometres of white sand beaches, secluded coves and is dotted with small fishing villages. Look inland a little and the Turkish Riviera rises to a backdrop of the Taurus Mountains, rivers and streams, and running through this delightful landscape is an ancient road known as the Lycian Way.
On our walks in the area, we follow traditional routes used over the millennia by shepherds, traders and farmers, and there are ample opportunities to sample the delicious local cuisine en route. Living along these ancient routes are a traditional people, with a concept of hospitality that is now almost lost in western Europe. Mount Olympus, Genoese castles, sunken cities, old harbours and stunning beaches typify this area.
We recommend spring and autumn as the best times to travel, when the weather is at its most pleasant.
