Cyprus offers plentiful sunshine, miles of inviting paths, stunning mountain and coastal landscapes and friendly, traditional villages. Hike in the north of the island across the Kyrenia Mountains, through pine forests and along the untouched Karpaz coastline, or in the Troodos Mountains and the wild Akamas Peninsula.
"We particularly enjoyed the hikes which covered both countryside and coast on the same day. We loved it when Pannyiotis, the seven year old son of the beach hotel owner, drew up a chair at our table and offered to draw us a picture." Chris Marshall, Tailor Made Cyprus
Our walks in Cyprus are suitable for most regular hillwalkers who have a reasonable level of fitness ? they are quite straightforward with good conditions underfoot, over undulating terrain following coastal and mountain trails, forest tracks and metalled mountain roads. Accommodation is in family-run guesthouses, inns and hotels with en-suite facilities.
The best time of year to visit Cyprus is from April to June and September to October, in order to avoid the fierce summer heat and enjoy sunshine and warm temperatures without the crowds. April and May are a dazzle of wildflowers inland.
